Employee Spotlight

Group Finance Operations Manager

Jun 2, 2023 | 2 min read

At Roboyo, our ability to drive cutting edge digital transformation for clients is fuelled entirely by the incredible people who make up this company. In our Employee Spotlight blog series, we explore what it’s like to work at Roboyo and highlighting some of the incredible individuals who make Roboyo, Roboyo.

In the third in our series, we interviewed Alexandra Frisch, Roboyo’s Group Finance Operations Manager. Based in Nuremberg, Alexandra started her Roboyo journey in May 2017 as an Executive Assistant.

What do you like most about the work we do at Roboyo?

The confidence that our leadership puts in us to take responsibility and encourage us to grow. The flexibility with home-office, being able to use all my five languages, and working in a company that doesn’t stop growing and developing.

“I would describe the company’s culture as friendly, colorful, motivating, innovative, modern, creative, stable and energetic.”

What is the most interesting project you’ve worked on here?

I found it quite interesting to work closely with the Roboyo founders at the beginning of my career. I was there at the early stages of planning and gained a large level of insight into how the investments, mergers and acquisitions work. Another project that really stood out for me was The Atlas Project, where we implemented Microsoft Dynamics for the Finance department.

What do you think makes our team culture unique?

There’s a lot of communication and transparency amongst Roboyans, as well as confidence in each other. We also have great leadership who we can always trust in, and there’s plenty of opportunity to learn from each other.

What is one thing that you wish people knew about your job?

It’s very extensive and allows me to be in contact with departments across the globe. There are always new projects, because Roboyo is growing so fast. Also, it’s important to be able to multi-task and make quick decisions, as well as thinking about the best of the company globally and not only about the entity where you are based.

What’s one thing that surprised you about your current role?

That I never stop learning and upskilling myself, and there will be many times where colleagues will look to me for support/guidance.  But most importantly, that I still manage to give the best of me even when there is pressure or short deadlines.

What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?

Think outside of the box and dream big! Being confident in what you are doing helps to make your dreams a reality.

If you had three wishes, what would they be?

1. That all my loved ones are healthy

2. Ending poverty

3. Buying a house

If you had to pick a fictional world to live in from any movie, tv show or book which would you pick? Why?

I would pick Pandora (Avatar), because the imagination of the creator is incredible and overtakes reality. There’s amazing nature and an example of how the world would be if people and animals could peacefully coexist.

THANK YOU ALEX!
