AT ROBOYO, OUR SUCCESS IN PIONEERING CUTTING-EDGE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IS ALL THANKS TO OUR AMAZING TEAM. Our “Employee Spotlight” blog series is a tribute to the remarkable talents that shape Roboyo’s culture and drives our innovative spirit. Discover more about the extraordinary individuals who make Roboyo truly special.

This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight one of our Conversational AI SpecialistsArtem Yushchynskyy, as part of our Interview of the Month series!

Artem is based in Porto, Portugal, and has been a valued member of the Roboyo family since October 2020.

Originally from Ukraine, he moved with his family to Portugal as a child. Passionate about sports like volleyball, fantasy reading, and games, Artem has become a pivotal part of our Central Europe team in Conversational AI topics.

We would like to thank Artem for taking the time to share a little bit about himself with all of us!

I know it sounds cliché, but it’s definitely the people. I’ve known many colleagues in the Portuguese office for years, even before joining Roboyo. For instance, I studied with Nuno and Fabio from 10th to 12th grade, and they brought me into the company. Later, I brought in other colleagues, who I studied with at university. The environment is fantastic, with great cooperation between both junior and senior staff.

“We focus on supporting each other. This collaborative environment is one of the strongest aspects of Roboyo.”

What do you like most about the work we do here at Roboyo?

It’s the care we take with our clients. In my experience, we always strive to provide the best solutions. We don’t just follow client requests blindly; we engage in conversations to suggest better ways of doing things. This dedication to quality is something I truly appreciate.

Our culture is very people-centered. We focus on supporting each other, even across different projects. This collaborative environment is one of the strongest aspects of Roboyo.

I’m proud of the complexity and size of some of the projects I’ve worked on. One standout project involved developing a challenging solution in conversational AI. It required navigating through various obstacles to ensure everything worked seamlessly. Another memorable project was with a BPM tool for an energy client, where we built some intricate solutions that I really enjoyed.

When the opportunity arose to specialize in AI, I jumped at it. A Romanian company was looking for engineers to upskill them in AI, and being Ukrainian, I felt a connection. I knew I wouldn’t become an AI expert at a deep level, but I was excited to learn the technology. With support from my manager and friends, I decided to give it a try and I was able to apply the knowledge in several projects.

Professionally, I aim to focus more on conversational AI projects and contribute to the AI cluster at Roboyo. I would like to become a Manager down the line to keep supporting our company and clients.

I like to joke that we bring the revenue by developing projects. But seriously, our day-to-day job is ensuring that clients get what they need and delivering quality results is crucial. It’s about building a strong foundation and making sure the end product is excellent.

We need to keep ourselves mentally and physically in shape. Tackling issues daily can be exhausting, so it’s important to recharge and stay healthy. Something that help me is playing volleyball and take walks to clear your mind and reorganize your thoughts. It helps reset and refocus.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

I play online games and lead a small guild. It’s interesting how managing a guild parallels my work at Roboyo. I enjoy building guides for new members, similar to how I create documentation for clients.

What’s the last song you listened to?

“Human” by Rag’n’Bone Man. I often shuffle my liked songs on Spotify, and that was one of the last ones I listened to.

I’m reading Warhammer 40K books, specifically “The Horus Heresy” series. It’s a grim, dark universe, but I enjoy the philosophical aspects and the exploration of human civilization in constant war.

Definitely not the Warhammer 40K universe! It’s too grim. I haven’t thought much about it, but it would be a world that’s peaceful and not constantly at war.

I used to like Griffins, but now I’d prefer something smaller, like the equivalent of a Chihuahua but for a dragon.

For Ukraine to win the war, for all the dead to be honored, and for Ukraine to become a strong country

Thank you, Artem for being truly one Roboyo! Bringing passion, full commitment, and expertise to everything you do.
