By enhancing access to essential services and benefits for tens of thousands of Washington residents and improving the day-to-day experience for DSHS agency employees—eliminating monotonous, error-prone tasks—Roboyo exemplifies the transformative impact of innovation and inclusion.

A Partnership Driving Transformational Change

Roboyo has been privileged to support the mission of DSHS since April 2023 through the Enterprise Automation Service as delivered by Washington Technology Solutions. Together, the organizations have worked together to support staff across four administrative divisions in fulfilling their mission to improve the lives of Washingtonians.

Roboyo’s contributions include delivering innovative robotic process automation (RPA) solutions that have transformed critical programs, including:

• Child Health and Education Tracking (CHET) Program: Roboyo implemented four RPA solutions to enhance critical data entry processes, significantly accelerating medical authorizations for the most medically sensitive residents. By reducing delays and freeing certified nurses to focus on patient care, this effort supported DSHS’s mission of improving lives while exemplifying the values of equity and belonging celebrated by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Beloved Community Award.
• Mid-Certification Review of Supplemental Nutrition Benefits: Roboyo improved the speed of processing individual benefit requests, reducing processing time from minutes to seconds. This also ensured more efficient distribution of work between junior and qualified staff.
• Medicaid Ex Parte Renewals Process: In response to the Public Health Emergency unwind, Roboyo accelerated the Medicaid Ex Parte renewals process to meet federal standards and secure critical funding. Their efforts simplified the experience for more than 80,000 residents annually by preparing over 35% of all renewal requests.
• Aging and Long-Term Support Administration (ALTSA): Roboyo identified opportunities for efficiency gains and potential fraud reduction in key programs. These efforts engaged a broad coalition of stakeholders, including agency leaders, program staff, and third-party contractors.

Roboyo’s Client Partner William Falquero attended the virtual award ceremony on Tuesday, January 7, to accept the honor on behalf of the organization.
